eScan reader kit
eScan is Emit's new reader, which reads all types of eCards and emiTags. The content of the chips are transferred to a PC with suitable software via a USB cable, and to the wireless printer via Bluetooth.
Windows drivers for eScan are usually installed automatically. If not, download the driver file below. Extract the zip file and tap this file when connecting to eScan.
You can update the firmware by downloading the program eUpgrade below.
Ignore the message that there is a newer version (as it does not work for eScan).
Go to the tab labeled 'Connection', select the com-port with the highest number (usually) and click on 'Connect'. If you get serial number on your device you can choose to download the latest firmware (0.16) from the server and then transfer it to eScan.
Resetting the eScan is done by unscrewing the screw on the back of the handle and loosening one of the batteries. Leave it offline for about 30 sec before reconnecting.
