The emiTag tag is an active, electronic timing tag used in a variety of sports in addition to orienteering. The tag stores the time and code for all postal units it registers and has a built-in LED that flashes brightly for five seconds when stamped.
The new TFP3 postal unit is the latest generation of wireless postal units for orientation. The TFP3 combines the functionality of the TFP and TFT in one product, using a switch that determines the operating mode. The range in TFP mode is approximately 75 cm, while in TFT mode the range is approximately 30 cm. Supplied with 2 x AA batteries. The life of new batteries is estimated to be approximately 30 days in TFP mode and approximately 6 months in TFT mode. NB! emiTag tags must not be stored together with the TFP3 if it is switched on.
The eScan2 chip reader is used to download all the post registrations stored on the emiTag chips after reaching the finish line. The timesheet is printed immediately on the wireless printer. Results can be uploaded to a suitable program. The eScan2 is delivered in a handy case, with charger, USB cable, extra thermal paper and Emit's own emergency power pack included.
